Tricking out a Rebel
Journal Entry: Mon Sep 3, 2007, 7:49 PM
I love...L O V E my new telephoto lens for my Canon Rebel XT.
Yeah, it is not the most expensive. And the optics aren't top of
the line. But the quality for the price point is money well spent.
I'd recommend a Tamron lens to anyone looking to expand their
photographing tool without draining their bank account on a steep
investment.
I picked up a 70mm-300mm Telephoto/Macro especially for my
trip to Columbus, Ohio. For the Buckeyes home opener. And what
a perfect day for a game. Not a cloud in the sky, the humidity was
practically non-existent. And there was a constant mild-breeze.
The game, well that was a special event. It was against a team from my neck of the woods. Youngstown State Penguins. Not even in the same division as #11 ranked OSU_Buckeyes. But, their head coach Jim Tressel had previously coached the YSU Penguins. So a special deal has been struck between the 2 Ohio schools. And for the next 2 years YSU has the opportunity to play the big boys of the Big 10 - Division 1A as the season opener.
Well it was no surprise that the Penguins fell to the Buckeyes 38-6. But, what is an interesting side note for anyone keeping score...#5 Ranked Michigan lost to Appalachian State. The champions of Division-1AA (the same conference that YSU is in).
Anyway, what was most spectacular event of the day was half time. Where we got to witness the outstanding skills and entertainment of the OSU Band. And the special event, which was previous Band Alumni clear back to the mid 40's up to last years graduates were on hand to perform as one giant, colossal mass of humanity that is the OSU Alumni band. (600+ members strong). Unbelievable. And they were all headed by the Drum Major who was, by no means an ordinary major. This guy, in full gear was a high stepping, back bending, baton twirling master over all the festivities. I have never, ever seen anyone do some of the things he did. Absolutely incredible.
So over the next week I'll be posting some of the photographs from the weekend in Buckeye land.
I hope you Enjoy.

Go to the deviation you want to add. Down the right side you will see the image details. And near the bottom you will see a little window that says THUMB. Copy that line in the box(including the beggining and end colons). Then paste it in your Journal entry.
Here is the THUMB info on your new KOI, for example:
